  Health Affairs Management Council

 

 

 

Membership:  The USF Health Affairs Council consists of the VP for Health and representation from all institutional/campuses which comprise USF.  Non-member representatives of the USF Community may participate in meetings at the invitation of the Chair.

 

Chair:  VP for Health

 

Purpose:  The purpose of the USF Health Affairs Council is to provide the component units of the University of South Florida (USF Tampa, USF St. Petersburg, USF Sarasota/Manatee, USF Lakeland, and USF Health) with a forum to address health and health related programs, opportunities and initiatives through collaboration, building on the strengths of all units.

 

Charge:  The USF Health Council is charged with providing advice and recommendation to the VP for USF Health, and through the VP for Health to the President’s Executive Council, with respect to health and health related issues affecting the USF System.  The HAC may appoint subcommittees to address specific issues and may issue memoranda, guidelines, and position statements as appropriate.  Areas within the scope of the HAC include, but are not limited to:

 

·         Strategic Planning Issues

·         Academic Policy Issues

·         Faculty Issues

·         Degree program planning and development

·         Enrollment planning and management

·         Service delivery and outreach programs

·         Health research development

·         Student, faculty and staff health and wellness

·         Community and global engagement contributing to healthy communities and improved quality of life

 

Meetings:  The USF Health Affairs Council will meet quarterly.  Special meetings may be called by the Chair as necessary.  A meeting agenda will normally be distributed at least five working days prior to each meeting.  Meeting reports will be provided to HAC members and other meeting attendees by the Chair or designee.
