Mission Statement

The USF Health, Office of Faculty Affairs provides faculty relations and academic human resource services for all colleges and academic units within USF Health. The  Faculty Affairs team is committed to excellence in customer service, creative problem solving, and innovative and efficient work processes. In addition, we are committed to creating a mutually supportive team that is known for its respectful, caring and ethical treatment of all individuals who seek our services.

Physical Location

The Office of Faculty Affairs is located on the third floor of the Children's Medical Services Building (CMS 3063) on the northeast corner of USF Holly Drive and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard on the University of South Florida campus. 
 

 

Services and Staffing

 
Faculty Relations services consist of guidance to Faculty, Chairs and Deans in grievance processes, discrimination (including sexual harassment) complaint resolution, and conflict resolution.
 
Human resources services consist of developing and making accessible policies and procedures; new faculty orientation and development programs; Faculty Handbook; awards and recognition; faculty assignment, evaluation and development; sabbaticals and career development; conducting exit interviews; processes for faculty recruitment; appointment and pay; promotion and tenure; and performing the final audits of leave records when a Faculty member leaves USF Health. The Office of Faculty Affairs also maintains the Faculty database and provides guidance to Faculty, Chairs, and Deans in requesting J-1 and H-1B visas and appointing voluntary faculty.
