This procedure supplements the University Procedures on non-reappointment.

The Vice-President of USF Health has the authority to non-reappoint non-tenured faculty. As such, only the Vice-President may issue notices of non-renewal.

Within USF Health, for regular faculty, Departmental Chairs, School Directors, and Divisional Heads coordinate proposed instances of non-renewal through the Associate Vice-President for Faculty and Staff Affairs in the Office of Faculty Affairs prior to taking action. They may use the Recommmendation for Non-reappointment form to initiate the process.

This is not further delegated except that the Dean may non-renew voluntary faculty. Termination or non-reappointment of voluntary faculty is at the sole discretion of the Dean and without recourse.
