Public Education Program Offerings
Caregiver support and community awareness of the early signs of Alzheimer’s disease is a core mission of the institute. Our programs are delivered by accomplished University of South Florida faculty, licensed clinicians, and trained staff.
Caregiver Interactive Workshops & Seminars
These interactive programs are intended to help individuals who are caring for a family member with Alzheimer's disease or related memory disorder. Faculty from the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer's Institute present on a variety topics ranging from Alzheimer’s disease management to communication and behavior issues.Sample Topics:

- Advances in research and current opportunities in clinical trials
- Communicating with the AD patient
- Managing troublesome behaviors
Caregiver Support Groups
A support group is highly recommended to help you cope with the reality of Alzheimer’s disease, and is a great way to share your concerns with others who understand what you are going through. Whether is it your own memory loss, or you are caring for a loved one with memory loss, attending a support group is definitely time well spent.
