Clinical Research

We recognize the critical need to research new treatment options. Current medications cannot stop Alzheimer’s disease. These medications may help prevent some symptoms from getting worse. Current research is aiming to halt or reduce the progression of Alzheimer’s disease itself. Additionally, there is a great need for better ways to diagnosis and treat memory problems earlier.

With such big goals, we surely can’t succeed without your help! Each of us must play our part so that Alzheimer’s disease will become just a memory of the past.

Our center is involved in a number of research studies for various stages of Alzheimer’s disease and mild cognitive impairment. Several of these studies investigate potential treatments that target the plaques and tangles in the brain. Some studies involve pills, while others use intravenous (IV) infusions. Other trials study the effect of noninvasive treatments and nutritional supplements on Alzheimer’s disease. Some of our studies involve more advanced brain imaging techniques such as PET scans.

We have a number of studies going on at any given time. We invite you to talk with the clinical research experts about studies that are enrolling and to schedule a screening visit.
