The USF Health Byrd Alzheimer's Institute hosts multiple support groups that meet monthly to discuss a variety of issues related to caring for individuals with memory impairment or coping with your own memory loss or Alzheimer's. Attending a support groups is highly recommended and is a great way to share your concerns with others who understand what you are going through. Whether is it your own memory loss, or you are caring for a loved one with memory loss, attending a support group is definitely time well spent.

Alzheimer's Caregivers Support Group
Meets the first Thursday of every month from 2:00-4:00 pm
Mild Cognitive Impairment Caregivers Support Group
Meets the fourth Thursday of every month from 2:00-3:00 pm
Lewy Body Dementia Caregivers Support Group
Meets the second Monday of the month from 3:00-4:00 pm
Support Group for INDIVIDUALS recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's or memory loss
Meets the third Wednesday of every month from 1:00-2:30 pm
PLEASE NOTE: These support groups are intended for family caregivers and patients only, and confidentiality is highly respected. The meetings are intended for caregivers or individuals with memory loss, and we cannot allow solicitation, participation or observation by companies, health care professionals or service providers.
The first three supports groups are for just the caregiver and it is not advisable to bring your loved one to these meetings.
You or your loved one do not need to be a patient of one of the doctors at the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer's Institute to attend one of our support groups.
