USF Health Byrd Alzheimer's Institute opened doors to its new Center for Memory C.A.R.E. a one-stop shop for those coping with memory loss. Designed to feel like home, therapists can test the ability of patients to perform routine daily tasks, like boiling water or selecting weather-appropriate clothing. Get an inside look:

The University of South Florida unveiled a new Alzheimer's center on Thursday with a high-tech PET scanner on one side, a mini apartment on the other and cozy living room at the center.
Optimism in the battle against Alzheimer's.
The institute hosted a press conference about Alzheimer’s disease and the new drugs that are in the pipeline. Fox News posted the story.
National Memory Screening Day was hosted by the Institute November 16th. More than 180 participants received free memory screenings by a qualified clinican, blood pressure checks and medication review by a pharmacist.
Throughout the months of October and Novemebr, the Institute participated in multiple Memory Walks sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association throughout the greater Tampa bay region.
