Q. How can I become a patient at the BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic?
A. The BRIDGE clinic is a free healthcare clinic providing routine care for non-emergent medical needs. We serve patients in our local area within two zip codes that make under a specific income. You can inquire as to becoming a patient by speaking directly to our clinic manager, Pamela. The BRIDGE clinic phone number is 813-526-9684. She can review your financial and residential status to see if you qualify for services at our clinic.

Q. What if I don't qualify to be a patient at BRIDGE because I do not live in the local area?
A. We suggest applying for the Hillsborough County Health Care Plan, a program that acts as an insurance program for Hillsborough County residents who qualify based on income.
If you are currently unemployed, you may be eligible for Medicaid. If you would like assistance with the application process one of our social workers would be glad to help. Our clinic manager Pamela (813-526-9684) can put you in contact with our social workers.

Q. Does BRIDGE offer dental services?
A. Unfortunately we do not provide any dental services as USF does not have a dental school. Our clinic manager Pamela (813-526-9684) can put you in contact with our social workers who may be able to provide you with information with regard to dental services. You may also want to contact Tampa Family Health Centers as they offer dental services at a sliding scale cost.

Q. I am an undergraduate student interested in volunteering at BRIDGE. Do you have any positions open?
A. Unfortunately we do not have clinic positions for undergraduate volunteers. We do occasionally have openings for "behind the scenes" positions (i.e. public relations, research assistant, etc.). We would be unable to provide positions involving patient contact or physician shadowing as these spots are occupied by medical students.
