education during the Committed Action to Community Health (CATCH)
Health Fair at Tampa Bay Downs on February 3rd.

COPH, CON and COM students and the USF Health Ultrasounds Orchestra contributed to the fantastic sports activities, health screenings and beautiful music at the San Jose Mission Family Wellness Day on March 7th.

COPH and COM and premedical students contributed to the health education, fitness activities and screenings at the Santa Maria Mission Health Fair on April 10th.

COPH and COM and premedical students had fun helping the Weinberg Village seniors with arts and crafts projects at the Love a Senior Day on February 7th.

COPH and COM students danced, played volleyball, taught kids about taking their pulse and had a great time with the Farmworkers Self Help’s Teen Dream Group, at the Fitness and Fun Picnic at Riverfront Park on March 19th !

CON, COM and COPH students brought cheer (and a great dinner!) to the residents at the American Cancer Society Benjamin Mendick Hope Lodge on April 12th.

CON and COM students worked alongside other community volunteers in cheerfully and skillfully painting a senior citizens home, during Paint Your Heart Out Tampa on April 17th .

COPH and COM students mentored Honors College students and middle school students in a special collaborative health education and fitness expo at Greco Middle School, on April 22nd.

This Spring, the USF Health students contributed more than ever to teaching events in the public schools! Approximately 45 different students contributed to 18 different teaching events at 8 different schools, and taught 47 different classes and made a positive impression on ~ 1175 schoolchildren! Here are some students contributing to the health expo at Benito Middle School on April 22nd.

This April , USF Health Service Corps implemented its first Give Life Day, which included a blood drive and an opportunity for people to register in person for the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and Donate Life Florida. (See also http://health.usf.edu/publichealth/pdf/flyer2.pdf ).
