RightStart @ USF
Getting employees off to the right start is of paramount importance at USF. Taking care of necessary paperwork on the employee's
first day allows the new employee and the department to quickly focus on what's most important - getting oriented to USF and to the Department and concentrating on their new career at USF. It is our goal to relieve departments of cumbersome paperwork and to provide a comfort to our new employees that their critical
employment issues (pay and benefits) will be handled in timely fashion to give them and their families a peace of mind. Through RightStart @ USF, employees will complete necessary paperwork and will receive
additional information on benefit choices that will aid them in making important decisions.
What is RightStart @ USF?
RightStart @ USF is the way that new hires are processed at USF and provides a
streamlined appointment process for new hires or for employees who have not been employed by USF for more then one year. This process allows the hiring department to use the letter of offer as the
appointment paper and then Human Resources does the rest.
Why should my department use RightStart @ USF?
Imagine this scenario:
. He then heads toward Human Resources where, again he is greeted by name and welcomed to USF. He receives a packet of information that will be helpful as a new employee, important benefit information, and an invitation to the Discover USF orientation. The HR employee also tells him when to expect his first paycheck, gives him basic information on his attendance and leave records and answers any questions he has. After completing his new hire paperwork, he arrives at his new work place in less than an hour after starting his day at USF.And all that you had to do was send your HR Representative a copy of the letter of offer.
The question should be "Is it really that easy to use RightStart @ USF?"
Yes - It is really that easy!
It's true. By using the letters of offer designed especially for RightStart @ USF, you are providing Human Resources with all of the information needed to create a job record in GEMS for the employee while giving the employee the information needed to start the day right. After receiving the copy of the
letter of offer, Human Resources enters the information into GEMS, creating an Employee ID, which is communicated to you and Parking Services. Human Resources assembles the information packet that is tailored to your employee's type of s appointment and schedules your employee for Discover USF. The letter of offer also tells the employee the documents that are
needed on the first day and to go first to the Visitor Information Center and then Human Resources or, if they are a student, to go directly to Human Resources. What do I need to get started?
