Joann Strobbe, MsEdSenior Associate Vice President, USF Health

Joann Strobbe is senior associate vice president for USF Health, and vice dean for administration for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Prior to joining USF, Strobbe worked at Southern Illinois University in university administration and auxiliary services.

She is actively involved with the Association of American Medical Colleges, having served on the Professional Development Steering Committee for the Group on Business Affairs (GBA). She has served as the chair of the Southern Region as well as the national Chair of the Group on Business Affairs, representing 125 US and Canadian medical schools. Also, She recently served as the national chair for the Association of Academic Health Centers representing the finance officers.

Strobbe has more than 30 years of experience in university financial administration and presently manages a budget exceeding $600 million for USF Health. Strobbe serves on several university committees and is an elected Finance Committee member for the USF Physicians Group Finance Committee and chairs several IT and facilities groups. She is the treasurer for the USF Health Professions Conferencing Corporation and is the Vice President of the USF Health International Council with international offices in Panama.

Strobbe received her education in the Midwest, having been raised in Chicago, IL. Her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in economics and higher education administration were earned at SIU in Carbondale, IL.

She lives in St. Petersburg. She is a an inaugural USF season ticket holder for football and avid supporter of all things USF and loves to be with her family including her two grandchildren.
