Steve Blair
Chief Development Officer and Associate Vice President, USF Health
Steve Blair and his team are responsible for USF Health’s fund raising and alumni initiatives.
Blair has made a career out of connecting people with science and clinical care to advance the cause of medical research. Since entering non-profit management nearly 25 years ago, he has practiced independently as a consultant, managed departments at the March of Dimes and American Heart Association and established the Cardiovascular Center at the University of California, San Diego.
Before joining USF, Blair was the vice president for institutional advancement at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, where he created an impressive track record of developing and successfully implementing innovative fund raising and public affairs strategies.
Blair holds a BA in speech communications from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, with a minor in marine biology. He is certified in the areas of non-profit public relations, planned giving and fund-raising management. He participates in several speakers bureaus and is a member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Association of American Medical Colleges, LEAD San Diego, Leadership Oklahoma, and Rotary International. He serves on several boards, including Junior Achievement of West Central Florida.
