The USF Eye Institute 

 

Glaucoma Fellowship:

 

We offer a one year fellowship.  This is a hands on experience under the guidance of David W. Richards, MD, Lynn Harman, MD, Lisa Gamell, MD, Jacqueline Scott, M.D. and Christine Callahan, MD.  The fellow has the opportunity to perform glaucoma laser procedures, trabeculectomy, phaco/trab, and valve implants.   OCT and digital imaging are available for patient evaluation.  The fellow will participate in clinics and surgery at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa VA Hospital, St. Petersburg VA Hospital, and USF medical clinics. Research is optional.
Our five glaucoma attendings received their fellowship training as fellows.

You must apply through the San Francisco Match (www.sfmatch.org).  Foreign medical graduates must be graduates of a medical school approved by the World Health Organization and a permanent resident of the United States. You must be eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.  If you match with us, you will apply for unlicensed physician status as a PGY-5.  Our deadline is Oct. 1st..
