Health Policy & Management prepares students for positions of leadership in healthcare policy & management by giving them the knowledge and skill sets necessary to address fundamental issues in today’s complex and rapidly changing healthcare environment.
Our degrees integrate education in both management and policy, preparing students for a wide range of professional positions within the field. This includes careers as executive-level administrators in health care delivery organizations, insurance companies, and public health agencies, health care consultants, policy analysts and advisors, health care financial analysts, health information specialists, health services researchers, and lobbyists and policy advocates.

Welcome to the Department of Health Policy & Management. Prospective students with biological, engineering, chemistry, nursing, medical and social science backgrounds are welcome to apply to our department. The faculty of our department are dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship and mentoring of students and are involved in active funded research in health services research.
The department is embarking on an exciting ‘five year plan’ to develop an undergraduate program in health policy.

The Department of Health Policy and Management emphasizes excellence in teaching, research, and service for all citizens of Florida and the global community. The educational programs prepare managers, analysts, and researchers for leadership positions in health and related organizations, in public and private sectors. The commitment to faculty excellence in research and scholarly achievements is directed toward making important contributions to improve management of health agencies and organizations and public policy decisions that advance the health of populations.
